Competition for Bolivian enterprises in early stages

Background

  • The Impacton Bolivia 2021 (the contest for ideas) was a voluntary initiative of Yo Emprendo, ES2 Latam, Fundación IES, PES Latam, IME, Solydes Accelerator, Innova Up, Emprende.Bo, FES and UNDP.
  • Wanted to inspire and drive the creation of new business ideas of triple impact, which included a free pre-incubation program. 
  • The contest had more than 600 enrolled from the nine departments of Bolivia, of which 53 final projects were identified and articulated to the co-organizers and allies institutions. 
  • The awards were donations and voluntary contributions in kind, which mainly included scholarships and mentoring sessions to incubate the best ideas, which we consider to contribute to the creation of a new generation of entrepreneurs

What is the competition Yo Emprendo Semilla?

  • It is an initiative that allows us to collaborate between different organizations to give access to seed capital to startups/companies in early-stages
  • We join efforts to collect prizes in cash and in-kind with more than 44,000 USD raised
  • Thanks to this collaborative effort we can find and learn about the most relevant and innovative Bolivian startups, and companies

Requirements:

  • Have at least one year of operations in Bolivia
  • Have a NIT
  • Have a Brand (name, logo) – (It is not necessary to register it)
  • Have sales indicators (current and projected)
