Hibiscus Cooperative is a cooperative of 48 small producers in the town of Nandaime, in Nicaragua. Farmers grow Jamaica, which is processed and converted by the Jamaica juice cooperative, wine from Jamaica, concentrated from Jamaica and dehydrated Jamaica packed. Jamaica is globally known for its antioxidant properties and benefits for cardiovascular health and its high vitamin C and mineral content. In Nicaragua, Jamaica’s consumption of products is seen as a healthy and natural alternative to the high national consumption of soda and processed juice drinks.

Jamaica is a versatile crop that can be transformed into a wide variety of natural products with health benefits, adding substantial value to the product. In addition, Jamaica is a high-potential commercial crop that provides farmers with yields that are significantly higher than other common commercial crops.
