The SA Innovation Summit is a premier Global Innovation event and aspires to raise awareness in Innovation, facilitate collaboration among multi-helix actors and contribute to building the national system of innovation. These aims willin essence amplify South Africa’s competitive edge and accelerate economic growth.
SAIS accelerates innovators and start-ups through a match and invest platform, competitions, high impact projects that culminate in the SA Innovation Summit event.
Since its inception, the Summit’s greatest achievement was to engage the top echelon of SA’s leading minds in academia, industry and government to support innovation. It has also contributed to the birth of the South African Innovation Network (SAINe) in 2009.
SA’s premier innovation event of the year brings together thought leaders and practitioners in the field of innovation to show-case success stories, share lessons learnt, connect with peers, be inspired by those who keep on moving and practice by doing…innovation!
What we do:
We create an enabling environment for the Tech Entrepreneur by connecting cross cutting technologies, coders and enabling organisations through discussions, visualisation, education, research and events;
Promote an inclusive and impactful Agenda
We aim to challenge and inspire conversations around the impact on our collective environments, both physical and social, and identifying how we can effect meaningful change.
Accelerate innovations from idea to scale
We bring the African entrepreneurial ecosystem (Funders, Founders, Accelerators, Corporates, and Policy makers and Academia) from across the world together to connect and accelerate ecosystem outcomes which can support the scaling and replication of innovations.
