Contest for ideas
The “COVID-19: New Opportunities for Sustainable Cities” Competition seeks to stimulate, the configuration of more balanced urban scenarios from greater access to opportunities that encourages social inclusion and productivity of our cities.
Specifically, the call aims to encourage the participation of the different actors of civil society to identify, analyze, conceptualize and project those ideas that allow to transition to more sustainable and resilient cities, in response to the health crisis resulting from the pandemic
The call extends to university students, professionals, non-profit organizations, members of civil society, community associations and, in general, all people They are interested in urban development and are willing to share their ideas to help improve the post-pandemic situation in cities in the region. Ideas can be presented individually or in group, in Spanish, Portuguese or English, and have the potential to implement in CAF member countries.
The and the applicants must be over 18 years of age, of any nationality. In cases of groups of people, a representative must be designated as “Responsible for the idea”.
We are looking for ideas in the incubation state that describe creative and innovative interventions, in provide solutions to the different challenges that have been imposed on cities in the period of the -pandemic transition.
The proposed solutions must consider comprehensively elements related to at least one of the following urban dimensions:
It is expected to receive germinated ideas as a response or consequence of the pandemic, but thought beyond the current juncture, even to address problems that existed prior to the arrival of the COVID-19. The present crisis is, in essence, an opportunity for the future. In this sense, it is desirable that ideas have at least one of the following distinguishing features:
