These African startups will compete for 1M USD investment at Seedstars Global Summit

Now in its fifth year, the Seedstars Summit will bring together key stakeholders focused on driving technological change in emerging markets, and provide global networking opportunities in Lausanne, Switzerland, the 12th of April 2018.

In its very best global summit to date, Seedstars will gather 65+ handpicked startups from different regions and verticals, and some top-notch speakers (including Rebecca Enonchong – check others here). Through our activity, we open new opportunities to entrepreneurs in French-speaking Africa, enables millions of persons excluded from banking services to pay online, and hence contribute to the emergence of both strong and inclusive digital economy.

MaTontine Senegal

MaTontine seeks to solve a current and challenging problem that exists in Africa and the developing world: how to offer financial services like small loans at scale to the financially excluded. We do this by digitizing an existing, traditional, peer-to-peer savings system with millions of users called Tontines in Francophone Africa in order to provide services like loans & micro-medical insurance.

TABECH Serviços will present a services named MovelCare, which uses mobile phones without access to internet to access funeral insurance.
