The Jigsaw Strategy is an efficient way for cognitive and cooperative learning. The jigsaw process encourages listening, engagement, and empathy by giving each member of the team an essential part to play in the academic activity. The strategy was introduced by Aronson (1978) and places great emphasis on cooperation and shared responsibility within teams. The success of each team depends on the participation of each individual in completing their task. In addition, doing Jigsaw puzzles develops several functions of the brain simultaneously as a child has fun and also learns.
