Due to this significant demographic growth, there will be rapid increases in vehicle ownership, with more than 80% of the increase occurring in cities. Africa’s fast growing urbanizing regions have underdeveloped and inefficient road and public transport infrastructures. Faced with unreliable and expensive transportation solutions, African’s have turned to affordable, mostly petrol-powered motorcycles, which have negative environmental impacts. These local air pollutants have adverse health consequences causing sicknesses and decreasing life expectancy.

Zed Motors locally designs and assembles robust electric 2- and 3-wheelers and offers solar-powered Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS).
