Yumchow Restaurant is a GOOD FOOD company that deliver delightful experiences to customers by committing to ethical food sourcing, slow food inspired preparations and a culture of capacity building for stakeholders, ensuring sustainability and equitably sharing prosperity.
We were founded out of the need for a solution to move volumes of cooked crabs in crab meat picking plants in the beginning of this pandemic. From then on, our mindset is to provide sustainable solutions to challenges.
Our journey begins with sourcing for raw materials. We engage with local farmers directly & pay them market price. We have shaped policies geared towards sustainability. We only accept crabs that are not “berried” (do not carry eggs). To protect their reproduction in their natural habitat – the ocean. We are inspiring parallel practices for our suppliers of other raw materials.
We aspire to become a tool for stakeholder prosperity. For business owners, our staff and our suppliers.
