Cover image of Worm-Knap, Agribusiness venture on VC4A

Worm-Knap is a Ready to use houseplants and kitchen gardens foliar made from Vermiculture worms hence the name wormknap. Knap from knapsack since the bottle carrying the foliar liquid has a nozzle pump at the top that mists and spritzes the contents onto the plants leaves.
The rise of millenials and Gen-Z plant dad and plant mum culture has proved that there is nothing more addictive and fulfilling than owning a houseplant. But there is a gap. There is no organic ready to use product to nourish these plants, all nutrients get leached to the bottom due to watering.
Vermiculture worms feed on kitchen vegetable waste to produce a liquid very high in Nutrients i.e Nitrogen that adds the verdant green colour in plants and makes them leafy and vegetative.
With the help of a Chemical engineer we could formulate and improve the liquid by adding organic based preservatives and surfactants ,scents and colour for presentable packafing and longer shelf life.
