Water Access Rwanda Affordable, durable and reliable water solutions

Water Access Rwanda is a Rwandan-based social enterprise that offers simple, durable and affordable water solutions to Rwanda and in the East Africa region in a bid to address the water crisis while also creating employment for youth. The company is primarily focused on the bottom of the pyramid’s need for affordable and safe water and deploys models of access that provide clean water in a convenient manner. The company pioneered INUMA™, an affordable decentralized water infrastructure. It is at the same time a water collection, a water treatment, and a distribution microgrid facility/network. INUMA™ feeds water from a borehole using solar-powered pumps, the water is filtered and made available at public points but also piped right into households for private access. All water is sold via pre-paid water meters for only 1RWF/L($0,001/L)-making it cheap enough for all household usage, but high quality enough to drink.
