Vessel Is Me Project Offering perinatal bereavement care to bereaved parents.

Vessel is Me Project is a non profit that offers psychosocial support to women and couples who have been touched by pregnancy loss or baby loss in Uganda, and Africa as a whole. Our mission is to provide access to perinatal bereavement care, advocacy for coverage,access to educational material and access to support and community through our support group programs and peer counselling one on one sessions. The stigma and silence surrounding these issues have pushed us to seek innovative ways to get the support to the people in our communities. This was amplified during the Covid 19 lockdowns, that pushed us to have virtual meetings and has challenged us develop a Telemental Health App called THRIVE App. This App will be a gateway to receive information, access to peer counsellors, clinical psychologists and psychiatrists offering online sessions and 24/7 chat room to build a community that share their stories all from the comfort of their homes. No stigma. No shame or guilt.
