Problem
As urban population grows, pressure is placed on food production because cities have many mouths to feed but little room to grow food. In hundreds of neighbourhoods across Kenya, affordable, and high- quality food is out of reach due to high food prices. Nutrition is especially compromised with dwellers focused mainly on feeding with little care for nourishment.
Solution
We design, fabricate and install vertical farm systems for urban residents grow and harvest fresh, sustainable produce thereby improving the health of urban communities while encouraging local supply and demand for healthy food across income levels.
Unique
Our vertical food systems are easy to use for individuals with little to no farming experience, require little maintenance for crop production and protect consumers from toxic effects of agrochemicals. We further promote a greener alternative that transforms organic waste into microbe-rich growing medium for the food crops that grow from it.
