The Ukonga team is made up of Earl Joseph and Liz Ebersohn and technical partnership with Pharos Avantgard. Both Joseph and Ebersohn have a combined 50 years of professional experience.
Over the last 20 years Joseph co-founded Business Century Publishing which launched Maverick Magazine (now Daily Maverick) and Mojo Publishing who licensed YMag from YFM and Campus Times from Mail & Guardian before joining Pharos Avantgard, a mobile software development company, as their resident entrepreneur.
Ebersohn spent a little over 12 years in the non-governmental organization (NGO) sector from the mid 1980’s before branching out into the heady world of entrepreneurship. In 1999 Ebersohn founded The Working Solution (TWS) to offer event management services to the NGO and governmental sector. Twenty-four events and more than 2,500 participants later, Liz joined the family business, Succeed Magazine, a South African entrepreneurship and management magazine.
