Treford Empowering African youths with digital skills

Treford is an EdTech Startup focused on empowering African youths by training them on digital skills they need to thrive economically in this digital era.

Africa is home to about 420 million youths aged 15 to 35 and by 2063, they are expected to comprise about 46 percent of Africa’s labour force but this youthful population is faced with problems many of which are the cost of obtaining skills necessary for the digital age and which are unfortunately not factored in most of our educational curriculum, underrepresentation of women especially in the technology sector, and the recent pandemic that led to an increased demand for digital skills.

We work with industry experts to provide localized learning content delivered virtually in form of webinars and bootcamps while also empowering more young women to build careers in tech through our scholarship program and partnerships with communities.

The next milestone for us is to build an e-learning platform for paced learning.
