I am an agribusiness and social enterprises initiator adding value to the Nigerian agriculture value chain through food processing and digi-supply chain. I founded Tomatrix – an agribusiness and food processing company to provide capacity building opportunity to the smallholder farmers and process fresh tomato fruit into tomato paste. Our tomato paste which adopts the company’s name ‘Tomatrix’ is a product of innovative processing, finely blend without any chemical or preservative. In the first two months in the market, we sold over 500 units to more than 100 hundred customers. Presently, we signed retail marketing agreement with two offtakers redistributing ‘Tomatrix’ in the marketplace. In total, this has helped us to prevent the postharvest losses of over 9.5metric tonnes of tomato. In the next three years, we will create a disruption in the tomato market and cause a shift from chemical-filled tomato paste products to our chemical-free locally processed tomato products.
