Two long-term friends who work on freelance basis decided to start unconventional ways of coworking in Nairobi. While some would opt to work at home in their Pajamas, we preferred to carry our laptops to go in search of cool places to work from. 3-4 days a week, we’d be seated in restaurants around Nairobi, hard at work while sipping on hot coffee or tea.
Exciting and productive as this is, we realized that the bills we were incurring at these restaurants were racking up. Unfortunately, we couldn’t camp at a restaurant all day and order just a cup of tea or worse still, order nothing at all.
