Toastli is founder-led by George Botha, who holds 90% of the company and runs it full time as the sole operator. George has single-handedly built and shipped the entire platform (product, engineering, payments, marketing and vendor growth) on a modern stack, proving the model can be taken from zero to a live, revenue-ready marketplace on minimal capital.

The remaining 10% is held by three early investors who backed the company at inception. The team is supported by one contracted content creator who handles social and marketing content.

This lean structure has kept Toastli highly capital-efficient to date. Early stage funding will allow the first key hires, expanding the team beyond the founder to accelerate vendor acquisition, booker demand and operations across South Africa.
