Toastli is the booking marketplace for event vendors in South Africa. We connect verified vendors (photographers, DJs, caterers, makeup artists, venues and more) with serious bookers, the way Airbnb connected travellers with stays.

The problem: booking an event vendor in SA still happens through WhatsApp, Instagram DMs and word of mouth. There is no trusted, structured place to discover vendors, compare them and pay securely. Bookers risk no-shows and scams; vendors chase leads that never convert.

Our model is clean and aligned: vendors list for free and only pay when they get paid. Toastli earns 15% on confirmed bookings only, with no listing fees and no upfront cost to either side. This removes the hardest barrier to building marketplace supply, and revenue scales directly with booking volume.

Traction since our May 2026 launch: 292 registered users, 64 approved vendors and 34 live listings, with our first paid acquisition campaign running and an outreach engine converting
