Timi Wear your roots then your crown...

Cover image of Timi, Clothing and textiles venture on VC4A

Timi is a brand that uses indigenous art and designs to create fabrics traditionally by hand painting and digitally as well. These fabrics are converted into scarves, apparels and accessories to be sold locally and internationally. Timi is not only an indigenous fashion, apparel and textile design venture but also a philanthropic venture that teaches this set of skills to low-income families, transform their arts into finished products, makes sales and remits a larger percentage of sales to the creator. Timi believes in teaching a person who is willing to learn ‘how to fish’. Funds are generally monitored used for educating and improving the quality of life of the creator and their families. A percentage of the creator’s fund is converted to an education fund for the offsprings. Hand-painted Timi’s Fabrics are solely made in the country by indigenous designers while the digital prints are using digital art curated by Timi Aluko. Apparels are sewn, woven and embellished in the country.
