We develop appropriate agri-processing solutions. Africa and its smallholders, who lives in extreme poverty, relies on sales and exports of primary agricultural products whilst global trade in processed products grows faster than trade in primary products. Developed countries dominate the processed food markets and Africa and its smallholders share in a fraction of the revenue derived from final sales of processed products.

Africa is also, despite its vast resources a net importer of food products.

One target industry is the Kenya avocado industry, the world’s 3rd largest producer of avocado, but only exports 25 % of its production. Avocado production is primarily smallholder. Smallholders have low participation in value chain characterised by middlemen. We have developed technology to process avocado.
