The Tacombi Foundation launched the Tacombi Community Kitchen program as a response to the Covid-19 outbreak in NYC in April 2020 with the goal of providing immediate food relief through culturally sensitive wholesome meals to Hispanic individuals and families that have been hardest hit by the Covid health and financial crisis, with the long term objective of creating a fairer food system. Preparing and distributing thousands of meals weekly to people in need.We believe that the creation of a fairer food system lies in ensuring access to every individual to quality and culturally sensitive meals. We are motivated not only to end hunger but to praise the dignity within everyone through food. Food also represents cultural identity, what we eat and whom we eat it with has a strong impact within ourselves and our communities. The TCK program has produced and distributed over 120,000 meals across NYC to date.
