Strategic Farm Kabasekende From my farm to your kitchen

My farm is a mixed farm that is located on 500 acres of land. We do animal Husbandry and crop production. Under animal Husbandry, we are currently doing piggery, goats and cattle. On the crop production side, we majorly grow maize to compliment animal production with provision of feeds.
In order to increase total crop production, we have given part of our land to some members of the community to grow crops along side our own. These were initially our farm workers. The free land allocation to these workers was done in a bid to increase total maize production and ensure full utilization of the available land but ultimately to increase our workers household income. We currently support these farmers (about 20) with good quality and reliable agricultural inputs in order to increase their total production. Our long term plan is to establish a farm service center on this farm that should help support many other farmers as a resource center for all agricultural value chain.
