STIMA provides robust performant electric motorcycles to moto-taxi riders in Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa. STIMA deploys and operates networks of battery swap stations to enable riders to swap their battery anywhere in the city in less than 1 minute. Moto-taxi riders save about 500$ per year on fuel and maintenance compared with petrol motorcycles.
STIMA has developed a full technology suite to build the battery swapping system tailored for African intensive moto-taxi and delivy riders. This suite includes long life batteries with IoT embedded, modular containerized swap stations, smart battery charge algorithms, an asset monitoring platform and a rider App.
STIMA sold a first batch of 30 motorbikes to a motorbike financing partner and is currently launching its commercial operations in Nairobi.
Stima is currently raising a seed round of 2.8 M$ composed of a mix of equity and debt.
