STIMA Mobility Electric boda-bodas

STIMA provides robust performant electric motorcycles to moto-taxi riders in Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa. STIMA operates a network of battery swap stations to enable riders to swap their battery anywhere in the city in less than 1 minute. Moto-taxi riders save 500 to 1000$ per year on fuel and maintenance compared with petrol motorcycles.
STIMA has developed a long cycle-life swappable battery and worked with its Indian motorcycle manufacturing partner to introduce in Africa a robust and powerful motorcycles adapted to moto-taxi usage on difficult roads.
STIMA has initiated pilot projects in Kenya with its B2B partners, as well as in Togo (with ride-hailing company GOZEM) and Senegal (with delivery company PAPS).
STIMA has been awarded in May 2021 320k$ of grant from the EU to develop its software technology of flexible charge in STIMA battery swap stations. STIMA is currently looking for 200k$ to support its R&D and commercial developments.
