SPEEDGO-Jirani seeks to enable businesses sell MORE ONLINE.
It’s proven that high cost of delivery is a main decision element for online shoppers. Cart abandonment rate is higher with a high delivery cost leading to loss of sales. Jirani is focusing more on small businesses especially those that sell low cost items including thrift products (mitumba) and have a challenge selling online due to high delivery costs which don’t match up to the product price. This makes it expensive to an online shopper and eventually the business looses a sale. Jirani enables these businesses to remain competitive in the e-commerce space just like any other modern business. We are working with women and youth owned shops across Nairobi to step in as drop off and collection agents for parcels as an additional revenue stream to their business contributing to economic growth among women and youth in Kenya.
