Shonaquip Social Enterprise

As a mother of a child with severe disabilities I started manufacturing wheelchairs and assistive technology for her and her friends, from my garage in 1992. I now run the only ISO13485 certified wheelchair production facility in Africa, employ 80 staff, supply products on 3 national governments tenders and export a range of products, training and clinical services into 5 countries.
Having invested 30 years influencing practice, informing policy and driving systemic change in the assistive technology and disability sector in Southern Africa we are ready to expand our reach, impact other regions of the continent, showcase new possibilities while opening new markets for appropriate assistive-technology that will enable inclusive futures for millions more children with disabilities living in LMIC’s.
