As a result of the war and conflicts in that part of the Congo (DRC), the inhabitants of the affected villages carry trauma at different levels. These injuries are in many families so serious that both parents are unable to work on their farms and to support their families or produce food for local consumers, as was the case before the war. To meet these challenges, we are working at several levels. Gather people and help them believe in their local community, and then invite them to participate in the agricultural activities of SayuniHub. Second, we encourage widows with many children (on average 6 per widow) to participate in special short-term agricultural activities.
