Robida Mills Limited is an agro-processing enterprise based in Monze, Zambia, transforming locally produced crops into high-demand food products and livestock feed. The company operates three production plants with an installed daily processing capacity of 9 tonnes of maize meal products and 1.8 tonnes of edible cooking oil.
THE PROBLEM: Smallholder farming communities face recurring food insecurity due to climate variability, seasonal production gaps, limited market access, and post-harvest losses. At the same time, livestock farmers struggle with high feed costs, while local agro-processors often lack the capital and regulatory compliance needed to access formal retail and institutional markets.
