Pro-Ema is one of the country’s top restaurants, and also offers training and employment to vulnerable young women. It has its own chocolate factory where tourists can buy local chocolate and learn all about the Timorese cacao beans. The Restaurant regularly brings In Top Chefs from overseas to share their expertise with the young women who work at PE, creating memorable Cuisine and offering superlative service. In 2019 Pro-EMA received USAID Award as Champions in the Tourism area in TL. Pro-EMA solidarity kitchen program “Good Food for All!” a benchmark in the country, generating great awareness on the use of food, improving the lives of hundreds of families served and taking out thousands of children from hunger and chronic malnutrition. Our vision is to continue to extend this program, involving other businesses, creating a wave of social transformation that will positively impact this and future generations, inside and outside Timor-Leste.
