Over 1/3 of food is being thrown away, mainly due to physical imperfections or surplus production, despite being fresh and edible.

Perfekto offers a subscription box with imperfect food from farm to table in Latin America. That way, consumers save time and money while reducing food waste.

The founders led the Uber Grocery launch in Latam, the logistics for Walmart’s eCommerce in Mexico and scaled Swiss fintech Sonect to pre-Series B in Mexico.

Backed by Y Combinator, Perfekto was launched last year and has already rescued over 350,000 kgs of food. It counts over 3,000 active monthly subscribers and is reaching $1M in ARR, growing 10x across all KPIs this year.

While in the U.S. unicorns like Misfits Market have made this a proven business model, Perfekto is the first alternative of its kind in Mexico’s $212B grocery market – a market where, unlike the U.S., 72% of food waste occurs across the supply chain.
