Pamoja Energy Ltd develops and implements innovative business models for decentralized renewable energy and productive use of energy in Uganda. The company has extensive experience in biomass and solar energy systems. Pamoja uses Decentralized Renewable Energy solutions as a platform to provide Energy Services such as electricity access, agro-processing and cooking fuels. The organization collaborated with the Rural Electrification Agency to set up three decentralized micro-grids powered by biomass gasification, currently powering 720 households and 24 micro-businesses in Uganda. The company currently has 12 employees with 8 of them being based in rural communities.
