Osprey grain industry was started with the main aim of grain aggregation and processing. The smallholder farmers lack mechanization, poor harvest and limited farm inputs. We decided to address poor harvest by adopting the use of hydroponically grown rice seedlings from certified seeds vendors after realizing that the farmers never use certified seeds but sets aside part of the harvest as seeds to be replanted,the reason for poor harvest.We plan to use rice transplanting machinery in the process cover more acres under certified hybrid seedlings. This will probably assure farmers of bumper harvest with adoption of fertilizer use and also improve the local economy. This business is sustainable as it cover the whole rice value chain from seeds to the market
