Online dating in itself isn’t innovative, that is for sure, but the way Okhtub bring serious online matchmaking is, especially in a Arab/Muslim country like Egypt is what makes us game changers. We took the main problems single people who are willing to date online have, and we made sure to creatively solve them. For instance, we make sure women maintain a certain level of privacy on the app with features including blurring their faces unless they agree to show it and only using their first names. We also let all applicants create an account with their national ID to avoid fake account and false information. Thus far, we have 300+ engaged couples.
