Octavia Carbon is the Global South’s first company to design, manufacture, and deploy machines that filter carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air using Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology in Kenya. Currently, we are scaling up capacity for our pilot DAC and storage plant, Project Hummingbird, which can capture and permanently store CO2 underground along Kenya’s Rift Valley. The project will capture and store 1000t of CO2 in a year (1,000tCO2/yr) and 10,000 tones across the project’s lifetime. We have specifically tailored our machines and processes to leverage on Kenya’s natural endowments i.e., abundant renewable energy and geology and talent. By doing so, we effectively bring DAC down the cost curve, allowing us to price our carbon credits at competitive prices (that are bound to decrease in the near future). What’s more, we are favourably positioned in the market as the demand for quality credits such as ours massively outweighs the supply.SectorsClean technology, ManufacturingLocationNairobi, KenyaStageSign in to view detailsMarketsSign in to view detailsCustomer modelSign in to view detailsRevenueSign in to view detailsContactSign in to view detailsSocial media Articles
