Neema Urban Roots Limited Empowering women through urban farming and entrepreneurship

Neema Urban Roots Ltd is a women-led social enterprise based in Nairobi, Kenya, empowering young and single mothers through urban farming, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Our pilot programme equips women with practical skills to cultivate high-value culinary herbs while building sustainable businesses and improving household incomes. By connecting production with local market demand from restaurants, hotels and retailers, Neema creates both economic opportunity and stronger urban food systems. We are currently raising approximately USD 37,000 to launch a three-month pilot that will demonstrate a scalable and financially sustainable model with measurable social impact.
