Mbatata means potato in swahili. Mbatata Safi is an Initiative by COB-NETH Company Limited that aim to supply raw peeled & chipped potatoes that are treated to reduce sugar/starch/calories and increase shelf life up to 10 days.

Target market is small chips kiosk business chain around Zanzibar island. There are over 200 of chips kiosk and demand over 20 tons of potatoes approx each week with about 1.3 million population.

Mbatata Safi Initiative will offer health food options for potato consumers around Zanzibar and neighboring cities.
