Mazi Mobility Moving People, Data, and Things

Mazi aspires to lead the electrification of Mass Mobility in Africa. We do this by providing electric motorbikes to individuals, fleet owners, and businesses, without batteries in order to reduce the upfront price. In correspondence, we have launched a Battery as a Service in Nairobi, which will supply the needed on-demand energy to the motorcycle riders, known as Boda Bodas. We are in the process of implementing an IoT and AI solution to mitigate range anxiety by connecting the batteries through a smart swapping station network. In the near future, we will be able to offer at least 99% uptime for riders wherever they are in Nairobi, allowing for a seamless transition to e-mobility. This approach will allow us to half their daily costs and double their income. In addition, we are set to introduce electric 3-wheelers and minibusses (locally known as Matatus) to drive Mazi’s vision to support the transformation of mass transport in the developing world.
