My name is Geh Emmanuel Bong, CEO and Founder of Mavens MedShare Ltd. Over the past six years, working across hospitals in Africa, I realized that access to healthcare is not just about infrastructure, but about getting the right medical resource at the right time. In Cameroon, hospitals operate in isolation, one hospital having surplus of medical resources that get expired, while patients in another hospital die due to lack of those same resources. The problem is not always scarcity but it’s disconnection. That is why we built Mavens MedShare, a digital platform that connects hospitals and medical equipment suppliers into one network. It enables healthcare professionals to locate where resources exist and request for them with just a click, while also predicting shortages in real time. Hospitals use the platform for free while our paying customers are medical equipment suppliers.
