Mamaland Mushrooms Company Limited as a biotechnology and agribusiness venture, deals with production of mushrooms, mushroom spawn and mushroom production services aiming at diminishing protein-energy malnutrition (P.E.M) to affected group of peoples in underdeveloped societies both in urban and rural areas of Tanzania. We are providing mushroom production and its value addition chain training to different groups in society so as to alleviate poverty, decline protein-energy malnutrition and for food and nutrition security.
Mamaland Mushrooms Company Limited also harnessing, processing and preserving the edible fruit bodies of Afrocantharellus, Lactarius, Russula, Termitomyces and Amanita for storage and markerting.
Products in the form of nutritional food such as mushroom tea, mushroom dietary supplements, mushroom powder, mushroom sauces, mushroom soups and chips have been developed as value added products of both wild and exotic mushrooms.
