Krystal Ice Limited is a woman owned enterprise in Uganda that uses locally sourced raw materials to make a purely authentic Ugandan products called Krystal Icepops that are in 6 different flavors. We noticed farmers frustrations due to lack of access to market and inability to transport their produce and we asked ourselves can this change? The answer was yes its possible. We decided to use a business model that engages farmers because we are passionate about the agriculture sector and contributing to achieving SDGs 1, 3, 5,9 & 12. Our model has been tested and it has been well received with good potential signs. We distribute our products directly to customers through supermarkets, schools, children play centers and events and use a transactional revenue model.
