Our business works with over 3,000 smallholder avocado farmers across Njombe, Mbeya, Songwe, and Kagera regions in Tanzania. We focus on improving market access for farmers by connecting them to reliable and higher-value markets, including growing demand from both domestic and export channels. Through this approach, we help farmers move from low farm-gate prices to better market prices, contributing to improved household incomes and stronger rural livelihoods. One of the key results of our work has been a significant increase in avocado prices, from about TSh 500 per kilogram at the start of our operations to around TSh 3,200 per kilogram currently, reflecting increased demand and better market coordination.
