The IMO
The Mexican Institute of Ophthalmology (IMO) offers comprehensive services to patients, caring for them throughout the entire process of recovering their ocular health. The three pillars of our organization are Service, Teaching and Research.

Our Mission
Our mission is to reduce the prevalence and incidence of visual diseases in our region, especially among the most vulnerable populations, through high-quality service, research and humanitarian training of medical and paramedical personnel.

Purpose
We aim to comprehensively serve the population in three main areas:
Preventing avoidable blindness.
Treating refractive errors, mainly in children.
Providing timely detection and treatment for Diabetic Retinopathy, ROP and Glaucoma.
