Many countries in Sub-Saharan Africa experience persistent food and nutrition insecurity. Apart from low productivity and erratic weather, post-harvest losses are a major contributor to the regrettable state of affairs. We are in a mission to address this by sensitizing smallholder farmers on post-harvest management and utilization of solar drying technology to reduce losses.
Imale Sunshine seeks to improve smallholder farmers access to profitable markets through solar drying of fruits, vegetables chilies and spices. Through solar drying, farmers are able to tripple their earnings and increase shelf lifes of the produce. We are actively involved in processing of dried fruits (especially mangoes), dried vegetables, chilies and spices.
