Simeon is the CEO and Founder of County Green Growth Initiative, a community based organization, advocating and practicing certified organic farming in the lake Victoria basin in Kenya since 2012.
Together with Crocodile Friends for Justice, we are working together on Green Economy Transformation issues.
We do seedlings propagation including the wild gooseberry that has become our crop of the season due to value addition opportunities it has offered.
Our vermiculture section has seen us produce good quantities of organic fertilizers as lichets(vermiliquid) and this has given us good sales and has helped us in our propagation as well.
In the gooseberries, we have found a ‘golden crop’ as we are processing organic juice and wine from the shrub.
We are engaging local farmers to plant the crop organically and we offer an immediate market for the same.
