Health Systems Care and Consultants (HSC&C), Inc. is in its eighth month of incubation; a result of a wide Kenyan healthcare environment study, specifically, patients’ records management and accessibility.
Currently, facilities maintain their health records such that clinicians can easily access the health history for their facility’s regular patients. When the patients are unable to attend these “regular” health facilities for different reasons including emergency reasons, other facilities cannot access their medical history.
A lot of time is spent recovering patients’ history, increasing health service cost and time factor, critical to the survival of the patient.
HSC&C, INC. proposes to address this challenge by introducing a Central Health Records Repository (CHRR) accessible to the patient and the authorized health practitioners. This solution will address challenges associated with scattered Health Records, patient-centred care and ICT in healthcare service delivery.
