Bag for Change is a social business idea of manufacturing solar power bank system and go within the normal but designed school bag in Rwanda. Rwanda is a developing country with a large number of the population who have no access to electricity, which affects people in different ways but especially children in their education. Bag for Change will be the first solar manufacturing and retail company producing school bags with a solar panel on the back and equipped with a power bank with a USB port that allows plugging a LED lamp or any other USB devices. The bags will be designed for kids attending school in rural areas and refugee camp of Rwanda and Africa as well as tourists who travel a lot in the mountains. The bags are made from locally found materials and reused electronics so that the price will be within the buying power margins of most rural families.
