The company was incorporated in 2019, with offices in Ntinda, Kampala, Uganda.Financial institutions, especially in the informal sector (tier 4) face an upsurge of non-performing loans and high default rates, due to a high number of serial/ multiple borrowers. gnuGrid’s CRB helps in risk management and decision making by utilizing credit information to guide risk pricing, monitoring and control of loans and advances. It helps financial institutions to filter out high risk customers before a sale decision is made. Our competitive advantage is the mandate given to us by Bank of Uganda to operate in the Tier 4 space as a monopoly. We have raised USD 300,000 in a seed fundraise.
