Fundación Indígena Zenú de Bellavista (FIZDB) focuses on the sustainable development of the Zenu indigenous community in Bellavista. They provide training and support services related to traditional crafts, ecologically responsible agriculture and the cultivation of native plants and tourism focused on local traditions. These initiatives provide livelihood opportunities and allow the community in particular to maintain their unique culture to indigenous Zenu women. Household items, bags and other accessories are hand woven from sustainable natural materials. The bank of Ancestral Seeds, organic waste is composted and used to cultivate varieties of traditional foods and raw materials for handicrafts. Members of the FIZDB community participate in networks for women, indigenous communities, and sustainable agriculture.
