The cassava leaves are a staple food in the Congo, but during the dry season the product is expensive and becomes scarce. Also, after harvest, the conditions of transport, conservation or cleaning leave to be desired. ETS CHRISTAD FOOD is a newly created agri-food company and will have to exploit mainly the cassava derivatives (ground and frozen cassava leaves) and the processing of waste that come from it, feed for livestock or serve as a natural fertilizer.
Being in the post COVID 19 period, the project aims to combat poverty and hunger by providing a quality food, rich in protein A and B, accessible to all and preserving the environment. In CSR, our structure will help peasant women on the outskirts of Kinshasa and producers of cassava leaves to benefit from a mutual health, and to create other income-generating activities.
