In 2017, about 40% of cocoa beans were rejected because they did not meet export conditions. This rejection caused a loss of 600 000 tons corresponding to a shortfall of 628 billion FCFA for farmers. We therefore proposed a new approach to transform these beans into the basis of ESSENCE K.
Essence K is cocoa essential oil obtained mainly from non-commercial beans and possessing several properties including therapeutic, cosmetic and culinary. Thus, it is antioxidant and protects the body from the effects of cellular aging. It is also used in aromatherapy for its anti-stress action.
Particularly powerful in cosmetic recipes, it brings a deliciously chocolatey smell to your masks, scrubs, balms and other body and hair care.
ESSENCE K comes at the same time as a new added value to Ivorian cocoa but also a project with direct social impact on the farmer who is the linchpin of the cocoa sector representing 15% of the GDP.
